Along the cobblestone streets, preserving the atmosphere of bygone eras, under the magical sky of the Old Town in Plovdiv, you will find seventeen Bulgarian Renaissance houses, which will hospitably open their doors for the ninth edition of ’Wine and Gourmet’. The festival will be held at the second weekend of May and for the first time it will be three days long – May 12,13 and 14

The participants are 65, among which are the best producers of wines and delicious foods that will await you for a wonderful tasty meeting in the following sites on the territory of the Old Town in Plovdiv. For your convenience you can use the digital festival map in which you can find all of the locations and participants.

During the ‘Wine and Gourmet’ festival you would be able to try over 250 first class Bulgarian wines in combination with gourmet tastes.

In addition, the organizers are preparing a colorful accompanying program, which starts on May 12 at 12:30. from Stefan Stambolov Square /in front of the Plovdiv Municipality/. A colorful parade with the participation of the folk ensemble Trakia and the girls' choir ‘Evmolpeia’ will lead you to the beginning of the Old Town. At 2-4 Saborna St., next to the barrier, the 2023 ‘Wine and Gourmet’ festival will be opened. Tastings will take place:

May 12 - from 13:00 to 19:00. 

May 13 - from 11:00 to 19:00. 

May 14 – from 11:00 to 18:00.

Every self-respecting wine lover knows, but for the new friends of the ‘Wine and Gourmet’ festival we will emphasize that there is no ticket for the festival. But there is something much more interesting and remarkable. This are the degustation tokens with which the wine tasting takes place during the ‘Wine and Gourmet’ festival. They will be sold in front of every single festival location. At the information booths, you can also buy branded professional tasting glasses, a hands-free leather holder for it, souvenirs, and ect.. The tokens are branded with the name of the festival and can be used in all locations and at the stands of all wine producers.

‘Wine and Gourmet’ festival 2023 is organized by the Tourism Council - Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv in cooperation with the Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" and the University of Food Technologies - Plovdiv. It is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture. The festival is financed by the "Annual Tourism Development Program of the Municipality of Plovdiv for 2023."
